Father, Diagnosed With Colon Cancer
Update! (From Robbie - 01/29/08) Dad is in his second month of chemo, and he has been having some really good days here lately. Praise the Lord! Please continue to keep both Dad and Mom in your prayers. He isn't out of the woods yet, but he's well on his way. We are expecting complete healing in his life.

(Scottsboro, AL) - Be much in prayer for Robbie's dad, Robert Fortner. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer and may face a round of chemo therapy. He has already undergone surgery and he came through just fine. We will post more details as they become available.
Update! (From Robbie)
Dad is still in the hospital – they are still running some additional tests.
They were afraid that he might have a bowel obstruction – but the tests did show
yesterday that that was OK – it was just gonna take time for him to heal.
The cancer doctor came in and told us they would be getting everything ready to
start the chemo – that he will have to take chemo for about six months.
Hopefully he will be able to come home by the first of the week (November 19).
