Heard you on the radio passing through Birmingham. Your trio gave me chills. We are creating a project to fund first responders and take care of their needs when life throws them a curve ball. We hope to have gospel festivals in or around the Atlanta area, then Augusta, Savannah, Valdosta, Macon and Columbus. These festivals purpose would be to create the first responder ministry. I am a recent transplant to NE Alabama and I feel like I have landed in God's Country. One of the few places I have lived where I can celebrate and speak God's name outloud no matter where I am. What a Blessing it was to hear y'all sing and share the Gospel @ New Faith Baptist. I hope that New Ground will be able to come back again soon. I wanted to buy a CD before y'all left but you know how Baptist are, we had eating on our mind. It was a double Blessing when Cindy Berry sang. I've known her and her husband their whole lives and had no idea they would be there. We grew up in the same church and it's has been years since seeing her and John. I've been thinking about the Sunday mornings when we would watch JUBILEE before going to church and kept thinking that the Happy Goodman's sand this song that I've been trying to find. As it turns out it was the Sego Brothers and Naomi called "Sorry I never knew you". I found the words but not the music. I hope that this will be one that you can add to your list in the future. I'm sure you will remember it when you hear it. I always cried when it got to the part about the DADDY. Thank God my daddy was saved before he passed away many years ago. My husband and I were at the Gospel Explosion in Summersville, WV for both the sing and the praise and worship service on sunday morning. Our first time seeing your group was a few years back in St. Albans, WV. I must say that there are many wonderful southern gospel groups today but in my opinion New Ground is one of the best!! With every song you sing I can feel the annointing of the Holy Spirit. I'm not very good at writing elaborate letters, but I can tell you what's in my heart everytime I hear your group and everytime I listen to your CD's. My heart is so blessed, just watching the connection between the three of you. I sang in a local quartet with my Dad. He was probably my biggest spiritual influence in my life. He was truly a man of God and when we sang, we sang songs telling of God's wonderful love and songs of encouragement and I have noticed that New Ground's songs do as well. My Daddy is now in heaven and I miss him so much. Our quartet was pretty much family, and we no longer sing, but I still try to carry on the message of God's love singing at some local churches and even help in nursing home ministry. I'm anxious to sing some from your soundtrack CD (I'll try not to butcher them). When I see and hear New Ground sing my heart is so blessed and your Spirit bears witness with mine! Thank you ALL for allowing God to work in your lives and I will pray daily that God will continue to keep you safe, healthy and most of all see many lost souls give their hearts to God!! Keep up the wonderful work and hope to see you again soon. I'm gonna keep watching your schedule to see if you'll be anywhere around WV!! My family has really enjoyed your music. A friend of ours at church gave us your cd. My son Chase loves the song "She must have mentioned my name". I lost my Granddad Thanksgiving day. I saw you at the Alexandria Church of God for their homecoming. Was the first time I had been to see you. You really touched my heart that day. I Had lost my mom to cancer previously and the church there is where she was a member for 58 years. Her memories were so fresh and clear. She was one of Southern Gospel's biggest fans. Sure wish she could have heard you for she would have really been touched. She had us all singing gospel music as soon as we could talk good. Just wanted to say that me and my husband, Paul were at the Christmas in the Smokies in Gatlinburg, on December 2, 3, and 4th of this year and we enjoyed hearing yall sing praises to our Lord. For a few years I have been trying to find the artist of one of my favorite gospel songs. All I could remember was the chorus and I've asked everyone, "do you know who sings that?". I remember hearing the song on WRJL so I started calling the station to find out if they knew the artist. Today, I spoke to Amy at the Olive Branch and she knew right away who I was talking about. She gave me the phone number and Robbie's name. She went on and on about how nice you were and told me to tell you hello. I was so excited when I got off the phone with her. The song that has touched me so, I believe, is called "He Picks Me Up and Carries Me Awhile". If this is your song I would love to buy the cd that has it. Please let me know how I could buy it.
